Vince Guaraldi Trio: Christmastime Is Here

Happy christmas for everyone!

happy halloween with BAUHAUS!

what am I doing now.

These days I am vastly influenced by Russia; in many aspects; like literature and music.

In literature: Фёдор Миха́йлович Достое́вский - or translating to our words, Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky. One of the most important authors of Russia in the XIXth century. The book: 'Записки из подполья' - or 'Zapiski iz podpolya' - or on english translation: 'Notes from Underground' - or even in portuguese which I had read, 'Memórias do Subsolo'.

'Notes from Underground' is considered by many to be the world's first existentialist novel. It presents itself as an excerpt from the rambling memoirs of a bitter, isolated, unnamed narrator who is ever paradoxical with his thoughts, but make us know more about the mind of the people on that time.
A book I highly recommend!

In music, what's greater than The Red Russian Army Choir? Here is 'Kalinka':

And another russian folk song: 'Korobeiniki', or 'Korobushka' for balalaika:

'Korobushka', the same, but this time sung and performed by Barynya:

An awesome song needs an awesome video - I pick up the old video (from 1968) and just add a remastered version of the song; just to keep the things more clear.

Ahh my childhood... is coming back

A little poetry

Tale From a Distant Time

Little loners
dining monsters
alive and in motion
without any kind of notion;

There and back again
the dying man
knows that no one can
survive to rule again;

In the gray lands
the war bring them all
their fall;

Now darkness rise
and anyone realize
how great was the dark size;

The green on the ground
do not grow more around;
Vapor comes underground
making the annoying sound;

Through the dark cloud
thunders are loud;
Rainbows don't appear after rain
what comes is only pain;

In the city all the houses
are infested by mouses;
people try to burn it
but it's hard to admit
they fail
while hail.
